HirePulse Limited (“HirePulse”, “we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Policy explains how we collect, use, share, store, and protect personal data under the Mauritius Data Protection Act 2017 (DPA) and, where applicable, the EU GDPR.
This Policy currently covers information collected through HirePulse discovery forms (Google Forms) and stored in Google Drive (Google Workspace).

For data you submit via our forms, communications and internal records, HirePulse is the Data Controller.
We use Google Workspace (Drive/Forms) and similar vendors as processors under data-processing terms.
Where we handle personal data solely on a client’s documented instructions (e.g., candidate lists provided by a client), we act as Processor and the client is the Controller.
Candidates
- name, email, phone, location; CV/resume, education, work history, skills, links (e.g., portfolio/LinkedIn); preferences (role, availability, salary if provided); messages/notes.
Clients
- name, job title, business contacts; company name; role descriptions/requirements; notes.
Technical
- submission timestamps; limited device/network info captured by Google Forms; basic email metadata.
Special categories
we do not require special-category data. If you share health/disability info (e.g., accommodations), we’ll process it only with explicit consent and apply enhanced safeguards.
Direct from you (forms, email, phone, messaging apps); from clients who confirm a lawful basis to share; from public links you provide (e.g., LinkedIn/portfolio).
Review candidate profiles and company needs;
Communicate about next steps and potential opportunities;
Maintain internal records and manage our pipeline;
Comply with legal/regulatory requirements and protect our services (fraud/security).
Marketing/alerts (optional): with your permission, we may send role updates, event/workshop info, or service news. You can opt out at any time (see Your rights).
We do not sell your personal data.
Contract (responding to your inquiry/delivering requested services); Legitimate interests (operate, secure, and improve services—balanced against your rights); Consent (optional marketing; any health/disability info); Legal obligation (lawful requests, record-keeping).
Processors: Google Workspace (Drive/Forms/Email), and similar vendors under confidentiality and security obligations.
Clients/employers: only where you ask us to connect you or we act on their instructions as Processor.
Advisors/authorities: where required by law or to protect rights/safety.
With your consent: referees, partners, testimonials.
Your data may be stored/processed outside Mauritius (e.g., Google data centres). Where required, we use safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses to ensure protection consistent with DPA/GDPR.
We keep data only as long as needed or required by law:
- Candidate discovery: up to 24 months from last activity (earlier on request).
- Company discovery: up to 24 months.
- Billing/records (if applicable): up to 7 years (statutory).
- Security & access logs: typically 12 months.
- Marketing preferences: until you opt out, plus a minimal suppression record.
Where we are Processor, we follow the client’s retention instructions.
Subject to the DPA/GDPR and context, you may: access, rectify, erase, restrict or object (incl. marketing), port your data, and withdraw consent at any time.
We may request ID verification and may refuse or charge a reasonable fee only if a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.

We apply administrative, technical and physical safeguards proportionate to risk, including encryption in transit/at rest (as supported by Google Workspace), role-based access, least-privilege Drive sharing, 2-step verification, and staff confidentiality/training.
No method is 100% secure: internet transmission carries inherent risks; once we receive your data, we apply strict controls to prevent unauthorised access.
Website cookies/analytics: our public pages may use strictly-necessary and analytics cookies; if we introduce marketing/remarketing pixels (e.g., for campaign attribution), we will present a cookie banner and let you manage non-essential cookies.
Third-party links: our site and communications may link to third-party websites or services with their own privacy terms. We’re not responsible for their practices—please review their policies.
